How to become a student in a school where "Excellence in Education is a Tradition."
Northwestern School Corporation will begin accepting applications from students interested in transferring to any of our schools for the 2017-2018 school year on February 1st. Complete applications must be submitted to:
Northwestern School Corporation
3075 N. Washington Street
Kokomo, IN 46091
Parents or students may access the Tuition Application form by clicking on the link below (further down this page) or by calling 457-8101, ext. 1100. Our transfer selection process remains unchanged for the upcoming school year. During the April school board meeting, the number of seats available for transfer students will be announced. Once the number of seats per grade level has been established, the board will consider transfer requests at each grade level. In the event the number of transfer requests exceeds the number of seats available per grade level, the board will conduct a lottery during the May school board meeting. Completed applications with accompanying documents received prior to April 15th will be eligible for consideration by the school board during this meeting. Applications received after April 15th will be considered if space in classrooms remain available after the May transfer lottery process. I recommend submission of the transfer application as soon as possible. In addition, all required information must be submitted by April 15th to insure a complete application. The school board will consider only complete applications, including required associated documents for approval or, if necessary, entry into the lottery process.

I encourage you to contact any of the building principals or me to learn more about our school corporation and join over 400 students who have transferred to our schools in past years. We look forward to you being a part of a school corporation that takes pride in its ISTEP+ Score recognition, Four Star School Awards, Federal Blue Ribbon School Award, Statewide Science recognition, and many other academic awards and recognition. These awards are possible due to the educational values exhibited by our students and parents as well as the work of a staff that has garnered Presidential teaching awards, Armstrong Fellowships, and district and state teacher and administrator of the year awards. If a challenging environment inspires you, take the necessary steps to become a part of our Northwestern family.
